A Word From Our Founder, Susanna

Tweak Health was started by Founder Susanna Tan in 2018 to offer a holistic approach to evidence-based treatment in Physiotherapy, Remedial Massage, Physio Led Clinical Exercise, Naturopathy, and Lyno Practitioner. Furthermore, Susanna has been a qualified physiotherapist for over 10 years. Consequently, she has helped hundreds of patients take control of their injuries with successful recoveries.

At Tweak Health we have built a team of dedicated and highly skilled Physios, Naturopath, Remedial Massage Therapist  and Lyno Practitioner that work collaboratively to help you return to your normal, happy, functioning self.

We believe that good health involves more than just treating the physical body. Additionally, our holistic approach includes emotional, mental, and social factors that impact recovery.

Our focus is to get you back on track as soon as possible. At Tweak Health, we’re committed to helping our patients regain mobility and function to perform at their best.

Susanna has been a qualified physiotherapist for well over 10 years.

She has helped hundreds of patients recover successfully from various injuries, specializing in neck, back, headaches, and jaw pain.

Additionally, she has over 10 years of experience in hands-on treatments, dry needling, women’s health, personal training, and Clinical Pilates, and she is a certified Resilience Coach.

Moreover, Susanna is passionate about effective treatments for long-term recovery. She cares deeply about her patients, from athletes to the elderly, and motivates them to achieve a better quality of life.

Physiotherapist, ALA Accredited Lymphoedema Practitioner, PINC & STEEL Cancer Rehab therapist Mount Pleasant

Rebecca has been a qualified physiotherapist since 2015. Initially, she worked in a private practice of Musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Moreover, she has experience in Cancer Rehab and Lymphoedema physiotherapy, which further expands her expertise.

Rebecca’s special interest and qualifications include: –Lymphoedema management – a build-up of fluid caused by damage to the lymphatic system or removal of lymph nodes, commonly occurring post-cancer surgery, radiation, infection, or other medical conditions.

Cancer Rehabilitation – aimed at minimising cancer treatment side effects and optimise quality of life at any stage in the journey.

Lipoedema – conservative treatment aimed at minimising the symptoms of this condition.

At our Mount Pleasant location, Rebecca offers hands-on treatment and dry needling for neck and back pain, pregnancy-related issues, pre and postnatal rehab, and sports injuries. She is a certified PINC and STEEL Cancer Rehab physiotherapist with training in Women’s Health, Clinical Pilates, and dry needling.

Physiotherapist, Newman

Freya, who was born and raised in New Zealand, eventually moved to Newman for a significant change in both lifestyle and work.

She graduated from the University of Otago in 2018 and has experience in both sports-based private practice in Christchurch and a hospital setting. Her practice includes hands-on treatments, dry needling, and women’s health. Freya is energetic, welcoming, and enjoys creating a positive environment for her patients, treating a wide range of conditions, and helping people understand “the why.

Physiotherapist Belmont

Sha-May graduated from Curtin University in 2019. Since then, she has worked in a wide range of areas, both in Perth and across country WA, broadening her expertise significantly.

She has experience treating patients in hospitals, communities, disability settings, and private clinics, believing in holistic care for everyone.

Sha-May enjoys treating musculoskeletal injuries and pain using soft tissue techniques, dry needling, and exercise rehab. She’s passionate about helping people reach their health goals and exploring the connection between physical and mental health.

Outside of work, Sha-May loves being outdoors, staying active by running and training in muay thai, preferably with friends.

Physiotherapist Belmont

Josh has been a physiotherapist since 2019. Consequently, he has treated a wide variety of clients with musculoskeletal injuries and pain problems. Moreover, his extensive experience enables him to offer tailored treatments that effectively address individual needs.

He uses a range of hands-on techniques, dry needling, and exercise rehabilitation to ensure clients’ pain not only resolves but also doesn’t return in the future. Additionally, over his career, he has collaborated with surgeons, doctors, and personal trainers to help clients achieve their health goals.

Furthermore, outside of work, Josh enjoys playing squash with friends, manicuring his lawn, or trying out new food spots across Perth.

Physiotherapist Mount Pleasant

Suji (Sujatha) Sugumaran is a dedicated physiotherapist. With nearly 14 years of experience, she continues to expand her expertise in the field.

She brings with her a wealth of knowledge gained from working in clinics across New Zealand and running her own practice in Auckland.

Moreover, specializing in rehabilitating patients with musculoskeletal challenges, sports injuries, and general physiotherapy, Suji has earned a strong reputation for her skills. She holds certifications in Spinal Manipulation and Dry Needling, further complementing her traditional hands-on treatment approach for optimal outcomes.

Additionally, originally from India, Suji pursued her passion for physiotherapy in New Zealand, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree and continued her education in Auckland. Her success stories and numerous word-of-mouth referrals are a clear testament to her expertise and dedication.

Melanie is a qualified Naturopath, registered with the Australian Natural Therapists Association. Importantly, she received awards for dux and outstanding performance upon graduating, demonstrating her exceptional skills and dedication.

Melanie is passionate about herbal medicine, nutrition, and holistic health. Additionally, she uses high-quality practitioner products backed by clinical research and customizes liquid herbal formulas for each person.

Furthermore, Melanie is trained in iridology and also holds a degree in Complementary Medicine. Over the years, she has been a regular fortnightly guest on 98five radio and generously volunteers as a Naturopath.

Moreover, Melanie treats patients at our Mount Pleasant Clinic and offers convenient online consultations as well.

Claire Swart
Lyno Practitioner

Claire has experience in a range of work environments in South Africa and the UK. Additionally, her main area of expertise is the prevention of recurring injuries and the relief of musculoskeletal pain and tension within the body. She completed her BSc (Hons) degree in Human Kinetics and Ergonomics and Psychology cum laude. Subsequently, she completed a range of exercise-related and bodywork courses.

As a Lyno practitioner, she primarily utilizes fascia release techniques to address the root cause of injuries. Through the Lyno method’s comprehensive full body assessment, areas of movement restriction are pinpointed, and the fascia is released accordingly.

Subsequently, depending on the client’s needs, she skillfully incorporates sports massage, muscle activation, cross pattern conditioning, neural activation, and relevant exercises.

Furthermore, educating her clients about the causes of their problems and how they can effectively manage them between sessions is of paramount importance to her. Since every individual is unique, each requires a slightly tailored approach.

Moreover, when she isn’t at work, she is kept busy by her two young children and enjoys exercising and exploring nature.

Practice Manager

Tammy is responsible for overseeing all of the administrative and business operation aspects of the practice. Specifically, her duties include hiring, training, and supervision of employees. Additionally, she manages rostering, ensures compliance with regulations, and oversees budget compliance. Moreover, Tammy handles reception work and social event management for all 4 clinics.

Tammy has vast experience working in Healthcare Administration and as an Aged Care Assistant in Nursing.

Furthermore, Tammy is a mother to three adult children and enjoys spending quality time with them and her husband. Additionally, her hobbies include photography and embarking on challenging hikes during holidays.
