Support your body after training, physical overload, long periods of stress, recurring tightness or general fatigue.
At Tweak Health Physio & Wellness, Claire offers holistic Bodywork and Fascia Release sessions from our Mount Pleasant clinic.
These hands-on sessions are designed to support tissue mobility, easier movement, relaxation and greater body awareness.
Each session is guided by how your body presents on the day, including posture, tension patterns, breathing, movement habits and areas of restriction.
Claire provides Bodywork & Fascia Release as a Bodywork practitioner. These are wellness sessions, separate from Tweak Health’s Physiotherapy services. Claire is not an AHPRA-registered Physiotherapist, and Medicare and private health insurance rebates do not apply.
Bodywork and Fascia Release is a hands-on holistic approach that works with connective tissue, muscular tension, movement patterns and the way the body responds to touch and movement.
Fascia is the connective tissue network that surrounds and supports muscles, joints, organs and other body structures. When areas of the body feel tight, guarded or restricted, fascia may be part of the broader pattern.
Claire’s sessions combine hands-on release work, body awareness, breathing and movement-based observation to support relaxation and a more comfortable sense of movement.
Claire Swart holds a BSc (Hons) in Human Kinetics and Ergonomics and Psychology, completed cum laude. She began working in personal training in 2007 and has since completed further exercise-related and Bodywork courses, including training in sports massage and muscle activation.
Her sessions draw on her experience in movement observation, hands-on Bodywork, breathing, sports massage and muscle activation. Each session is adapted to the individual and may also include movement guidance or relevant exercises.
Support your body after training, physical overload, long periods of stress, recurring tightness or general fatigue.
Work with areas of muscle tension, fascial restriction, bracing and protective holding patterns through hands-on techniques.
Encourage easier movement, body awareness, calmer breathing and a deeper sense of physical balance.
Many people carry tension in patterns rather than isolated spots. A sore neck, tight hips, restricted shoulders or recurring lower back discomfort may be influenced by the way the whole body is moving, bracing or compensating.
Claire looks at the body as an interconnected system. This may include how you stand, breathe, rotate, walk, hold stress, protect old injuries or move through daily tasks.
The session may involve targeted hands-on release, gentle movement guidance, breathing cues and body awareness work. The aim is to help the body feel less guarded and more open to movement.
Over time, the body can develop patterns of tension or guarding associated with stress, injury, posture, sport or repetitive work. These patterns may influence how freely you move and how relaxed your body feels.
Bodywork and Fascia Release aims to work with these patterns through touch, awareness and gentle release. Rather than forcing movement, sessions are adapted to how your body feels and responds on the day.
This approach may appeal to people wanting a holistic form of hands-on care that considers movement, relaxation and body awareness.
Claire’s Bodywork and Fascia Release sessions are available at Tweak Health Physio & Wellness in Mount Pleasant.
