Tweak Health Clinical Exercise Sessions

Our experienced Physiotherapists teach all our clinical exercise classes and use Pilates Reformers. Furthermore, we keep class sizes intimate, ensuring we can give you the attention you need and tailor your workout to your individual health needs.

What is Clinical Exercise?

Physiotherapists utilize Clinical Exercise as a rehabilitative tool for both injury rehabilitation and prevention. Specifically tailored exercise programs are supervised by your Physiotherapist to ensure you meet your safety, health, and wellness goals. This comprehensive approach includes recovery from injuries, surgery, and addressing other musculoskeletal issues.

How big are the group sessions?

During our sessions, only 2 people are present to ensure you receive personalized attention. This approach helps you achieve your health goals effectively.

What To Expect At Your First Session?

Attending for the first time can feel a little intimidating, but that feeling will disappear as soon as you meet our warm and friendly Physio!

During your first session, your Physio will conduct an initial posture assessment and create an individualized program to suit your needs. Next, they will teach you how to safely use our Pilates Reformer machines.

Moreover, you can choose individual or couples classes for a more intimate setting. This helps you gain a better understanding and awareness of your body, its capabilities, limitations, and the exercises you will perform.

Ultimately, each session aims to help you achieve your goals, whether for rehabilitation or fitness.

Frequently Asked Questions

After your first session, you’ll probably feel sore the next day. These classes are intense, and for good reason. Clinical Exercise targets specific points of the body, like your core. Even the smallest movements can definitely make your abs burn. Over time, your body will adapt to this intensity. To be honest, it’s good to feel pain because it means your muscles are working.

Clinical exercise sessions should be part of a well-rounded fitness regime. However, no matter how much you enjoy them, don’t think you can attend a class every day. Your body needs a day or two to recover. Meanwhile, you can focus on other exercises like cardio or weight lifting.

For optimal results, we recommend 1-3 sessions a week. Additionally, pre-booking is essential as our clinical exercise sessions fill up weeks in advance.

A Physio runs your session, so if your Health Insurance Policy includes Physio coverage, then yes, you can use it.

Please wear comfortable, form-fitting clothes, such as active wear, so your trainer can better see your movements and to prevent your clothes from getting caught in machines and other equipment. Additionally, bring a water bottle and towel to each session. For footwear, you can go barefoot or wear socks with rubber detailing on the soles to avoid slipping.

Clinical exercise sessions challenge you, even if you’ve been practicing for years. Additionally, we modify all exercises to suit each student’s fitness and flexibility level. Initially, it’s definitely not easy, but with regular practice and communication with your trainer, you’ll progress!

In summary, Pilates is for everyone and is not just any method. Moreover, there are different approaches to Pilates, depending on your goals—whether for rehabilitation purposes or getting fit.

There are no physical prerequisites for Clinical Exercise Sessions, and their benefits are certainly not gender-biased. Initially, the stigma might have stemmed from female dancers and women choosing to become Clinical Exercise session instructors, which in turn attracted more female students. However, as Clinical Exercise Sessions gain popularity in fitness, more men are now showing up in training programs.
